【影片简介】：
故事产生在现代法国。玛丽是1位小学女教师，她深爱着自己的模特儿男朋友保罗，保罗虽然宣称爱玛丽，但却宁愿在日本料理店看书打发时间，也不愿意回家和玛丽做爱。自感蒙羞的玛丽开始进行性冒险之旅。她在酒吧里结识了1个和保罗同名的意大利男人，并和他有了1夜情。玛丽和学校校长罗伯特玩起被虐的性游戏(masochism)，并1再而沉迷在这类施虐与被虐的游戏里。她还被1个醉汉误认为妓女，在自家楼道里被强奸。保罗终究在肉体上接纳了玛丽。不久玛丽怀孕了。临盆的日子日趋逼近，保罗却整天酗酒。玛丽在罗伯特的陪伴下准备进医院候产，离家前她拧开了煤气开关。在罗伯特的注视下，玛丽顺利地产下了1名男婴。玛丽家在煤气爆炸中变成了1片废墟，保罗也在这场事故中丧生。
